Your phone data,
with clear boundaries.
This policy explains how the Tely Android app and website handle information. Tely is ad-free, with optional Pro subscriptions using Google Play Billing when available.
Contacts and call history
Tely reads and edits contacts and call history through Android’s native providers when you grant the relevant access. Contact changes, call-log deletions and other actions use those providers. The app does not create a separate cloud contact book or upload your directory or call history to an app-owned service.
A bounded local display snapshot helps the app reopen while it refreshes native data. It contains basic contacts and up to 100 recent call records, expires after 24 hours and is checked against read permission before display. Contact photos use memory and a bounded local byte cache. Cache files can be evicted by Android; the native providers remain authoritative.
Roles and permissions
The default phone role and phone permissions support calling and call controls. Contacts and call-log access support their respective screens and edits. Notifications and full-screen calling access support incoming-call alerts. Optional screening access supports block rules where Android permits it. Tely groups these controls in Settings. Manifest declarations, granted permissions and special roles are separate states.
The app does not request permission to read SMS conversations. Message shortcuts open a compatible SMS app for the number you select.
Local preferences and backup
Interface, font, theme, filter, SIM preferences, local block rules and selected public-list state are stored on the device. Automatic Android app backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled by the app’s configuration. Native contacts and call history may separately be managed or synchronized by Android or your contact account; their policies are outside Tely.
Optional public blocklists
Only sources you opt into are downloaded. Requests go to the selected publisher’s hosting service and can expose ordinary request information such as your IP address. The app does not send your contact directory or call history in those downloads. List entries and freshness information are kept locally. Disabling a source removes it from active membership checks.
The initial verified catalog includes Chile and Turkey sources, with publisher details in the app. Coverage is limited to the selected lists. Legacy custom feed URLs, if explicitly configured in a build, are separate network destinations.
Google Play Billing, subscriptions and refunds
Tely will use Google Play Billing for optional Pro subscriptions, which unlock selected interface elements. Google Play manages checkout, payments, renewals, cancellations and approved refund processing under its policies and applicable law. Tely does not collect or store your full card details, bank credentials or Google Account password, and this website has no payment form.
Tely queries subscription ownership, verifies signed receipts and acknowledges purchases with Google Play. A receipt, signature and the last successful check are stored locally for up to a 24-hour offline access lease. A successful ownership response can revoke that cached access sooner, including after expiry, refund or revocation.
Request refunds through Google Play’s refund options, or contact support for purchase assistance. If you send us a purchase-support email, it may include your email address, message and an order reference you choose to provide. We use that information to respond and resolve the issue; do not send passwords or full payment-card details. Developer-assisted refunds are also processed through Google Play.
The current build keeps purchases unavailable until valid Play configuration is supplied. Tely does not currently use an app-owned purchase-verification backend or real-time server notification service. Google Play and its payment providers apply their own privacy policies. See our Terms of Service for subscription, cancellation and refund conditions.
Calls and third-party handoffs
Cellular calls use Android’s Telecom system, available phone accounts and your carrier. When you choose Call, Message, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, copy or another external action, Android or the destination can receive the number or content needed for that action. Destinations have their own policies and may use network services. Tely does not guarantee that a phone number is registered with a messaging service.
Advertising and analytics
Tely includes no advertising SDK or release analytics. Developer builds can emit diagnostic logs; HTTP logging is limited to debug builds. This website loads no advertising, analytics, remote fonts or third-party embeds.
This website
There is no account, purchase form, contact upload or phone-data access on this website. If you switch the website theme, that light/dark preference is saved in local browser storage. It contains no phone data. Hosting and delivery infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent and access logs to deliver and secure the site.
Deleting local data and questions
Clear Tely’s app storage in Android Settings to remove local settings, caches and receipts. This does not itself delete contacts or history from Android’s native providers, or cancel a Google Play subscription. Explicit contact or call-log changes inside Tely can change those native records.
