# Tely > An Android dialer and contacts app with grouped call history, a readable keypad and five expressive interfaces. Lunar is free. Portrait, Tely Ledger, Tely Mosaic and Reach unlock with optional Pro subscriptions using Google Play Billing. Each applied interface has matching in-app and launcher icons. ## Behavior Consolidation groups only consecutive same-number, same-direction, same-SIM, same-local-day calls before filters. Chronological three outgoing, one incoming, four outgoing calls display as four / one / three newest first. A run shows the latest three individual logs inline; More opens the run history. Restricted identities and service/postdial numbers stay distinct. At a partially loaded boundary the count can carry a plus sign. User-selected recent filters open through the plus button and persist. All remains available. Initial loading displays 100 recent records and expands older history in batches of 100; this is progressive native querying, not AndroidX Paging. A disposable 24-hour local snapshot stores basic contacts and the latest 100 calls. Read permissions are checked before cached data display. Contact details load when needed. Photos use a shared Coil loader and bounded native byte cache. The keypad keeps the editable number inside its sheet and readable number-specific suggestions above it, or alongside it in short landscape. New numbers can open a prefilled contact editor. Contact avatars open details; Call and Message are per number; WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal require a selected recipient and compatible installed service. Optional contact fields include email, address, landline, organization and notes. App/System font and light/dark/system theme controls are available; wide sheets adapt to window space. Incoming/active calls use a dedicated call activity, excluded from Recents. A presentation preview cancels for incoming calls and uses the committed interface. Carrier, SIM, locked-device and accessibility behavior still require broader hardware validation. ## Privacy and release limits Contacts and logs are not uploaded to an app-owned cloud directory. Optional blocklist requests reach the selected publishers; third-party handoffs disclose the chosen number/content to the destination. Google Play Billing processes subscription payments, renewals and approved refunds. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. The bootstrap build has purchases disabled until valid Play configuration is supplied. Server-side receipt verification and real-time developer notifications are not implemented. Android app backup/device-transfer extraction are disabled. This static site has no ads, analytics, remote fonts, embeds or phone-data access; light/dark preference uses local storage and hosting may process ordinary request logs. Lunar and everyday calling, contacts, call history and blocking are free. Portrait, Tely Ledger, Tely Mosaic and Reach are optional Pro interfaces unlocked through a subscription using Google Play Billing. Prices and billing periods are shown before you subscribe. ### How do subscriptions and refunds work? Google Play Billing handles Pro payments and renewals. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play; uninstalling Tely does not cancel it. Refund requests and approved refunds are handled through Google Play, subject to its policies and applicable law. You can also contact Tely support for purchase issues. See our Terms of Service for details. ### Can I try the Pro interfaces? Yes. In the Android app, choose Try for 15 seconds to explore a real interface and navigate its screens. When time expires, Tely returns to your saved interface. A trial does not buy or permanently unlock Pro. ### How does call consolidation work? Only consecutive calls to the same number with the same direction, SIM and day are grouped. An incoming call between outgoing calls keeps them separate. Each run shows its latest three logs; More opens the earlier logs in that run. ### Does Tely replace my SMS or messaging app? Tely opens your SMS app for the number you choose. WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal shortcuts also target your chosen number; those services need to be installed and support it. Tely does not host message conversations or place internet calls. ### What permissions does it need? Calling features need the Android default phone role and relevant phone, contacts, call-log and notification permissions. Call screening needs its own supported access. Tely groups access controls in Settings so you can review their state. ### Does it identify all spam calls? No. You can use local block rules and opt into selected public blocklists. The initial verified catalog has Chile and Turkey sources. Source coverage varies; there is no promise of worldwide or Indian spam-list coverage. ### Where are my contacts and history stored? Contacts and call history remain in Android’s providers. Tely stores a bounded local display snapshot and caches contact photos to reopen faster, then refreshes from Android. App backup is disabled; read the privacy page for network and third-party handoffs. ### Which Android devices are supported? Tely targets Android phones on Android 8.0 and later. Wide windows get adaptive sheets and keypad layouts. Calling, SIM accounts and screening depend on Android, the device and carrier.
